Primecote Metal is a water-based acrylic sealer primer specifically formulated for metal roof and building surfaces. Featuring a flash rust inhibitor, it provides excellent surface preparation and long-term corrosion resistance prior to overcoating with Globalcote Infracote, Elastacote or Restora roof coating systems.
Designed for Australian conditions, Primecote Metal enhances adhesion, inhibits rust growth, and creates a stable, uniform surface for high-performance topcoats.

Application Method: Brush, roller or airless spray
Coats Required: 1–2
Spray Tip Size: 521 – 523
Touch Dry: 30 minutes
Recoat Time: 2–4 hours
Topcoat Application: After 4 hours
Coverage: Approx. 6 m² p/L
Clean Up: Water
Dry Film Thickness:
70 µm per coat or,
140 µm when applied over rust
Full Cure: 14 days


*Important Notes
Surface preparation is critical — all metal surfaces must be clean, sound, and free from oil, grease, dirt, and loose rust prior to application.
Not suitable as a standalone coating — must be overcoated with an approved Globalcote system.
Where rainwater harvesting is present, allow 14 days curing and an initial rinse before reconnecting collection systems.
Always conduct a small test patch in an inconspicuous area before full application.
